The
British Standard - BS7860
The standard will be superseded by the European Standard in April
2006
This standard was implemented in 1996. Products officially approved
to this standard must display the Kitemark symbol on the product (perhaps
add picture of Kitemark to web page). This standard will be fully
replaced by the latest European standard in April 2006, after which time BS7860
will become invalid. Up until this time both standards are considered as
valid.
Main alarm requirements : (ppm = parts per million)
at 45ppm CO, the alarm must not activate for at least 60 minutes
at 150ppm CO, the alarm must not activate before 10 minutes
but must
activate before 30 minutes
at 350ppm CO, the alarm must activate within 6 minutes
